Morrisville Soccer Club (MSC) was formed in 1993 for the purpose of offering organized recreational soccer to the youth of Morrisville. At its inception, the club was open to children ages 8 to 14 with strictly in-town competition. As the popularity of the sport increased, so did the level of interest and the desire to become more competitive. With that came the formation of a travel division that promoted competition among the local area towns for players up through high school age. Expanding the program to children as young as age 3. Travel teams from Morrisville have been very successful throughout the years. MSC has been recognized as a well-established and well-respected program. While cultivating players' skills and excellence Morrisville Soccer Club has always reinforced good sportsmanship at all levels as a foundational core element of the program.
The objective of our organization is to instill in the youth of our local area, the principles of good citizenship, good sportsmanship, and teamwork achieved through the active support and teaching of soccer within the town at all age levels.
With its strong membership, MSC is the largest sports organization in Lamoille County. Our long-term goal is to continue to offer a program that is second to none and is highly regarded as a feeder program to our middle and high school soccer programs. Many players on the Peoples Academy High School soccer team have learned soccer in MSC, with many of them being selected as All-State High School players. Some have and others are still playing college soccer (some on soccer scholarships). Ultimately, those players who have gone through our program may someday return to Morrisville with their families and participate in the program as part of a long family tradition. Some of them have already returned to help coach rec teams, travel teams, and even the Boys & Girls High School soccer teams!
