SPRING SOCCER PROGRAM

Vermont Soccer Association D1-D3 Competitive Soccer

Registration has closed and we look forward to seeing our U10-U16 teams on the field!

We are looking forward to another fantastic and fun Spring session!

The 2023 spring program is open for players born in 2006-2014.  Spring players are assigned to teams by birth year. The registration fee of $180.00 per player covers the costs of practice equipment, insurance, new uniforms, league costs, and referees.

About Spring Soccer

Spring Soccer is geared towards players looking to challenge themselves against other experienced players. It is important to acknowledge that this program is more competitive than the fall rec league. Practices usually begin in late April and are coached with greater intensity and are more frequent. Practice days and times are determined by coach and field availability. Games are typically on the weekend and traditionally begin the first weekend in May and end in mid-June. Please note that game days will require a bigger commitment as many of the matches are played outside of Lamoille county.

Optional tournament opportunities will be discussed and decided on between each coach and team; additional charges may be incurred if teams decide to participate and these can vary by tournament.

Once again, MSC is offering pre-season indoor opportunities free of charge, currently as follows in the Peoples Academy high school gym, typically as follows and subject to weekly changes:

Saturdays

4:30-6:30 p.m. U16 Boys

6:30-8:30 p.m. High School Boys (incoming freshmen and up)

Sundays

4:30-6 p.m.  U14 Boys

7:30-9 p.m. High School Girls (incoming freshmen and up)

These opportunities are on a space and coach available basis, and will continue to be communicated to you by your child’s coach.

About Team Placement

Please note that Spring Soccer teams are formed in order to provide the best opportunities for development based on player experience and skill. Rosters for these teams are limited and returning players will be prioritized. If these rosters fill, a waitlist will be formed and we will try to fill a second team at each age group; our ability to do this will depend on coach and field availability. You will be notified of your player’s team placement in the coming weeks. If there is not space available, and not enough players to form a second team, your registration fees will be refunded.

Vermont Soccer Association rules are that all players must have a league issued photo ID card to participate in Spring soccer. This requires a birth certificate and a digital passport style headshot photo of your child. If your child has never played spring soccer before please email a scanned copy of their birth certificate to info@morrisvillesoccerclub.com.  Player photos can be uploaded directly into their GotSport account and must be updated every two years.  Players that have missing info will not be allowed to play until they have an ID which can take several days to process.

Our Mission

Morrisville Soccer Club is a 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization connecting youth of all ages to the sport of soccer with a commitment to teaching the principles of teamwork, good sportsmanship, and positive citizenship.

We are always looking for volunteers to keep Morrisville Soccer Club vibrant, teaching soccer skills, strategy, teamwork and sportsmanship to local youth and giving them an opportunity to achieve soccer success. We need coaches, team managers, and volunteers to serve on our board. Particularly if you are the parent of a younger soccer player, please consider serving in one of these roles and let us know of your interest.

We look forward to seeing you out there this spring! For more information email: info@morrisvillesoccerclub.com
